With more than twenty years of success launching innovative multimedia solutions that drive profitable and sustainable revenue growth, Joe Guerriero began his media career in advertising sales for one of the world’s largest scientific and medical publishers, Pergamon Press (now Elsevier B.V.).
Guerriero’s career experience includes senior roles in multimedia revenue generation and brand marketing for organizations such as Crain Communications, HealthLeaders Media, Billboard and Success Media. He joins MediaDC from Eagle Publishing where he built the highly successful revenue strategy for one of the nation’s most influential right-of-center websites, RedState.
An executive with Clarity Media Group since its inception in 2004, Steve Sparks is a newspaper industry veteran who became Director of Auditing with Knight-Ridder Newspapers in 1979. Prior to that he was a CPA with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. His career has included work in the financial, distribution, news, advertising and digital disciplines, and has included assignments at the Long Beach Press-Telegram, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Seattle Times, the Denver Post and the San Francisco Examiner. Since 2012 he has had broad operational responsibilities at the Washington Examiner.
Kathy H. Schaffhauser, CPA, comes to MediaDC from the Washington Newspaper Publishing Group, where she served as Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2013. Prior to that she was Chief Financial Officer of McArdle Printing Company, whose clients included the Bureau of National Affairs, National Journal and Congressional Quarterly. She has also worked as Business Controller for Elsevier’s F-D-C Reports, home of The Pink Sheet, the pharmaceutical industry’s go-to source for industry news and business developments.
