WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tom Rogan joins Washington Examiner today as the publication’s latest addition to an expanding commentary desk.
“My aim is to be the best conservative commentary page in Washington,” said Tim Carney, Washington Examiner’s Commentary Editor. “Adding Tom Rogan, a long-time contributor, to our staff was the obvious next step.”
Rogan is a Washington based writer who specializes in foreign policy. He has previously had columns with National Review Online, the Daily Telegraph, and Opportunity Lives. Rogan has also written for a wide array of other outlets including The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, The Atlantic, and CNN. He was a panelist and producer on The McLaughlin Group from 2014-2016, and he is a frequent guest on FOX News and the BBC.
“I am excited and grateful to join Washington Examiner‘s great commentary team,” Rogan said. “I look forward to ramping up my columns on issues ranging from counterterrorism to the South China Sea to entitlement reform.”
This addition comes on the heels of Daniel Allott’s cross-country, four-year reporting endeavor, as well as Jason Russell taking on the newly created position of Contributors and OpEds Editor. Russell will continue managing a growing network of contributing writers, including Alan Dershowitz, Sean Parnell, Grover Norquist, and Alveda King.
