Washington— Washington Examiner is pleased to announce that Tim Young has been hired as video journalist.
Previously at The Daily Caller, Young will also be bringing his highly popular comedy show, ‘No Things Considered’, to the Examiner, part of an expansion of multi-media and social media projects for the company.
His official start date is today, September 18, 2017.
“Tim’s quirky commentary on federal politics, and on the path being taken by our culture and society, have developed a big following, especially on Facebook, that we are happy to welcome to the Washington Examiner. He brings a freshness of perspective that engages many people who otherwise find politics alienating. Tim will help Washington Examiner fulfill its mission to make Washington and all its doings accessible to as many people not just in America, but globally”, Hugo Gurdon, Editorial Director for the Washington Examiner.
A native of Baltimore, MD, Young has been a successful and inventive comedian for many years, performing around the country at venues ranging from Caroline’s on Broadway and the New York Comedy Club in NYC to UCB’s Comedy Death Ray in LA and WiseGuys in Salt Lake City. The Telegraph and Forbes referred to Young as one of the top up and coming political comics in the country.
He is also frequently seen on television appearing on DC’s Fox 5, giving his take on what happened in the day’s news.
As well, his writing has been featured in Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, Washingtonian Magazine, Voice of Baltimore and other major publications.
Young: “I’m excited to join the team at the Examiner, where I’ll be the comedian in the middle of a group of the best journalists in the business. Also exciting to me is that if we sit alphabetically, I’ll be desk mates with Byron York.”
